Experience Him
|
Whether you know it or not, God loves you exactly the way that you are. It doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, or where you've been. He loves you and desires to have a personal relationship with you. That's right, the Creator of the universe knows every intimate detail about you and still, He loves you. And He wants you to know and love Him.
Let's face it. We all mess up now and then and none of us are perfect. Religion says that if we work hard enough and be good enough, we'll be acceptable to God. But it doesn't work that way. None of us can be good enough to measure up. The great news, however, is that God knows that and even still, He loves us!
That's why Jesus came. God knew we couldn't do it ourselves, so he sent His only Son, Jesus, to do it for us. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin, once and for all, so that we didn't have to. All we have to do is accept His gift.
Don't come to Jesus saying you'll try harder or you'll be good from now on. Just come exactly as you are ... that's the way that He loves you anyway!
Would you allow me to introduce Him to you now? He's right there beside you as you read this page. He wants to give you the gift of being reconciled to God. He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you. He wants to give you the gift of peace and eternal life. But He won't force it on you. He would never violate you like that. He's just waiting there for you to invite Him into your life.
Don't know how? Talk to Him just like you would anyone else. If you'd like, you can use these words. But make sure to tell it to Him from your heart...
Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God. I believe that you love me and that you died on the cross for me. Jesus, you paid the price that I couldn't pay so that I could be right with God. Thank you for forgiving my sins. I believe that you rose from the dead and are right here with me today. Right now, I invite you into my life. I want to know you personally and to experience the life that you have for me.
If you honestly told Him this, then Jesus is now living in your heart. He will never leave you. You are forgiven, reconciled to God, and will live with Him forever. Your life will never be the same from this day on!
One last thing. It's very important that you find a good church or Christain fellowship group that teaches God's Word (the Bible). This will help you grow in your relationship with Jesus.
